Daytime TV reflects the obsession Americans have with their health. Shows like the "The View" often feature segments highlighting methods in which viewers can drop weight or successfully manage a chronic disease. What's apparent, though, is that there is no quick fix. Good health is a lifestyle of habits that support the human body.

Seven ways to improve your health:

  • Reduce toxins. Toxins, disease causing agents, attack your immune system through your environment. Reducing their presence is a must. According to the experts at Live Science, three ways to accomplish this feat is to dust often, clean green and lower mercury intake.
  • Re-think your problems. What are your current issues? Instead of viewing them as unconquerable obstacles, see them as opportunities. For example, unpaid bills might be your chance to learn more about finances and a better way to handle them. They shouldn't be the mallet you use to beat yourself up for making a mistake.
  • Embrace your inner child. Anthropologist Ashley Montagu speculates that adults are notsupposed to put aside all of the childlike qualities. Some of them, creativity and laughter, are important to being a fully developed man or woman. Experts on stress also agree these factors reduce tension and, thus, lower your chances of becoming ill.
  • Exercise regularly. This point is a no-brainer. Exercising regularly is the quickest most effective path to improve your health. Besides being the catalyst for weight loss, it release endorphins, which improve your mood making you feel happy.
  • Foster relationships. A publication from Harvard Medical School linked the decline in the health of females to a lack of strong ties to other humans. Isolated females were more like to be depressed, mentally ill and sick. This data can also be true in regards to males. Therefore, your ability to foster strong relationships is important to your overall physicality.
  • Eat your vegetables. Vegetables aide the human body in releasing toxins and functioning properly. The good news is their is a wide range of this edible available to most people today. So, there's a vegetable to suit everyone's taste buds.
  • Stay in-sync. You don't have to use all of the technology available today, but, at least, be aware of its existence. Research conducted by Kaiser Permanente indicated that web-based programs were effective tools to help individuals with bi-polar disorders. This example is one that reveals how staying up-to-date with society offers new avenues in dealing with an illness.
The above are seven ways to improve your health. Use them and elevate this area of your life.
